2 sticks (1 cup) of Unsalted Butter
1cup of White Sugar
1cup of Brown Sugar
2LargeEggs
2 tspVanillaExtract
1 3/4cups of AllPurposeFlour
1 1/4cupsDutchProcessCocoaPowder
1 tspBakingSoda
1/2 tspBakingPowder
1 tspSalt
2cups of ChocolateChips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place the butter and both the white and brownsugars in a large bowl and using either a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream together on medium high for 3 minutes.
After 3 minutes, place the egg and the vanillaextract in the bowl and continue to cream together for 7 more minutes (creaming for this long is key to the mixture being light and fluffy).
While the butter and sugars are creaming, combine the dry ingredients (flour, cocoapowder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder) together and whisk until everything is evenly distributed.
When the 7 minutes is up add in the dryingredients and on low speed, mix until just combined.
Fold the chocolatechips into the dough and keep folding until they are evenly mixed in and everything is combined.
Using a small cookie scoop, or your hands, place balled dough onto a baking sheet with the dough being at least 1.5 inches apart.
Bake for 8 minutes.
Take the cookies out of the oven, let sit on baking sheet for about 1-2 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
